Children's author Lauren Child has won numerous awards for her books, including the series Charlie and Lola and Ruby Redfort. In 2008, she was announced as UNESCO's Artist for Peace and in 2010 she was awarded an MBE for services to literature.
Lauren Child will appear at this year's Auckland Writers Festival on 20 May and 21 May.
