British journalist Lynn Barber currently writes for the Observer, after a long career that has included working for Penthouse magazine, The Sunday Express, The Independent on Sunday, The Sunday Times, Vanity Fair, and The Daily Telegraph. She has two published interview collections, Mostly Men and Demon Barber (both Viking), and her memoir, An Education (Penguin, ISBN: 9780141039558) has been made into a film of the same name which features in the 2009 New Zealand International Film Festival.

American author and journalist Neil Strauss is best known for his best-selling book The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists (Text Publishing, ISBN: 1-920885-98-6). He has also ghost written books with rock artists Marilyn Manson and Morley Crue. He recently hosted the annual Michael Hill International Violin Competition in Auckland and Queenstown, and returned from representing New Zealand at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Awards in Monte Carlo.
