They say nothing ventured nothing gained...well my venture into snowboarding's not going to win me any awards - but was it all worth it? Last week, I took off to the hill at Turoa ski field with adaptive snowsports instructor Bob Williams. We stopped off along the way in Palmerston North and Wanganui to showcase the adaptive snow sports gear and the instruction programme available at Turoa and Whakapapa. The give it a gander days got my gander up - but now that Bob and me are actually here on the slopes, I feel more like it's a day of reckoning...
