Disability issues minister Ruth Dyson checks out the New Zealand Disability Strategy's first scorecard.The Review's been a long time coming. It's over seven years since the strategy was launched back in 2001, with the first review promised by mid last year. Ruth Dyson says it's a case of better late than never, with an earlier draft not up to scratch in her view.
We meet up with participants at a recent conference on 21st century learning environments. Brought together by the OECD programme on educational building in partnership with Group Special Education, the three day affair was a chance to talk through the pros and cons of having disabled kids attend regular schools.
