After a tense few days of build up, US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has departed Taiwan and continues her Asia travels, while China has started live-fire military drills off the coast in retaliation to her visit. In Singapore, the pace of executions is ramping up. Six people have been executed so far this year, including an intellectually disabled man. Rights activists say another seven prisoners have already received execution notices. And tourism workers in Indonesia are striking after a hike in ticket prices for visitors of Komodo dragons. The fee has rocketed up to around $400 NZ.
