Rebekah LaBar saw her first tornado at the age of 12 in her native America and was both terrified and entralled by it. She's taken that fascination and turned it into a career as a meteorologist and also her hobby - storm chasing. In the course of following storms in the US and more recently Australia, she has witnessed their beauty, power and destructive force. Rebekah's career has since led her to New Zealand, via the Marshall Islands, where the weather was all too settled for her liking. She now forecasts for the MetService in Wellington.
