Mark de Lacy has been teaching school children about water safety for years and was recently been named the country's supreme champion of water safety in the Sealord New Zealand Water Safety Awards. He has visited almost 900 schools since his joint initiative with the Sport Fishing council began 2009.

Flip Baber is a film and TV composer, found object musician, and soundscape artist, whose musical piece created by playing bicycles, went viral online. Known professionally as Johnny Random, he has produced advertisements for companies from Google to Adidas to Doritos, has scored film and television, and plays 40 instruments. But his latest labour of love involved seven months of painstakingly tuning up, and recording, bicycles for his composition Bespoken.
