A former patient of Dr Chidozie Onovo was treated by him between March and August this year. The Canterbury District Health Board employed Dr Onovo, a convicted drug smuggler from Nigeria. He was last week sentenced to 16-months in prison after admitting three charges of fraud relating to work permits and a residency application.
