Hser Naymoo lived most of her 36 years in a refugee camp in Thailand. When her home village was swept away in floods Hser Naymoo and her family fled to the south east of Myanmar and were taken in by Karen people-a rebellious group targeted by the army. After seven years of barely keeping ahead of the army as well as fending off disease and starvation the family fled again eventually reaching a refugee camp in Thailand.
