Lord Michael Ashcroft, the billionaire British Lord who provided much of the reward for the return of the stolen war medals, is in NZ to meet with police over setting up a Crimestoppers tip off phone line here.

Lord Ashcroft is a war medal enthusiast, and is ranked 65th on the Sunday Times rich list. He has given millions of pounds to the Conservative Party in Britain and donations linked to him are being investigated by the British Electoral Commission.
