In Britain the term Prego-rexia has been coined to describe the growing number of pregnant women dieting during pregnancy.
Sue Luty is extremely concerned about the number of pregnant women dieting and exercising excessively to remain thin. She says many of her pregnant clients complain about their weight gain, or deliberately aim not to put on weight, which is harming their own health as well as their baby's; their views of pregnancy are being distorted by Hollywood stars losing their pregnancy weight quickly after birth.
