Pip Cheshire might not have been a household name, but chances are you’ve walked through and even admired his work.
The distinguished architect died this week, but the buildings and spaces he helped create will shape our cities for decades to come.
Among his major projects were the transformation of Britomart Precinct, the redevelopment of the University of Auckland's Leigh Marine Laboratory.
He was also a key member of the team behind Te Papa.
Professor Andrew Barrie from the University of Auckland's School of Architecture & Planning both worked alongside Pip and was influenced by him. He joins Emile Donovan.
