All across the country, the pubs, galleries and libraries have been filled with poets and poetry lovers celebrating the art form.
We're heading down to Timaru, where the Timaru Booksellers are putting on their annual Word Salad open mic poetry night at the Aigantighe Art Gallery to mark the occasion.
