Engineers in China have successfully tested a magnetic levitation technology which could see trains travel faster than most planes.
The Chinese-built maglev train which will be the nation's fastest-ever ground transport vehicle made its public debut in Beijing last week.
The train can reach speeds of 600km/h.
Richard Strahan is a researcher in this field at Canterbury University and joins Emile Donovan to explain the technology behind magnetic levitation.
