What you need to know about the Autumn Equinox

Today is Wednesday. The middle of the working week.  It's also the equinox - the middle of the sky - where the sun crosses the celestial equator, and day and night are approximately the same length.

So if you weren't commiserating the end of summer yet, now's probably a good time to start.
