Two months on after devastating floods caused extensive damage in Nelson, the rippling effects are still being felt. The stretch of State Highway 6 between Nelson and Blenheim is to be closed for repairs, which will severely hamper locals and business owners for around seven weeks.
New mayor Nick Smith has been at a community meeting this evening, he joins the show to discuss the outcome.
