On Country Life this week, Merrall MacNeille farms 50 jersey cows and each one has a name and her own stall where she is fed and milked. The Port Chalmers farmer bottles the pasturised milk and sells it under his Holy Cow brand at the Dunedin Farmers market along with butter, halloumi cheese, cream and yogurt, and is about to launch a range of ice cream.
