Influential music writer and tastemaker Roy Colbert (Roi as he preferred to be known) passed away in Dunedin in late July.Roi had a big and lasting impact on New Zealand's music scene by introducing people to many musical hidden treasures through his writing and legendary second-hand record store Records Records.For over 30 years this iconic little shop has provided a focal point and meeting place for over 3 generations of Dunedins most respected musicians Trevor Reekie talked to Roi Colbert on Musical Chairs back in 2006 about musical legacies and legends and early music journalism
