RNZ Music is proud to present the new video from Wellington trio Womb. ‘Used To Be’ is the first single from their forthcoming second album Under The Lights, due out later this year.
Wellington trio Womb is made up of twins Charlotte (vocals, guitar) and Haz Forrester (synth) and their sister Georgette Brown (drums), whose visual art practice has guided the group through their creative evolution over the past decade.
Rooted in folk, Womb’s music combines dream-pop, melancholia, tender guitar lines, delay-drenched synth and off-kilter percussion.
The group have released a self-titled EP, a steady stream of singles and their critically acclaimed debut album Like Splitting The Head from The Body (2018). All via Wellington alternative and experimental label Sonorous Circle.
‘Used To Be’ is the first single from their forthcoming second album Under The Lights. The single debuted on Under The Radar a couple of weeks back.
For the video, Womb worked alongside Christchurch filmmaker Martin Sagadin who’s directed videos for Aldous Harding, Marlon Williams, Nadia Reid and more.
