Angelique Te Rauna sings ‘Ka Ao’ – a 2019 Maioha Award finalist

'Ka Ao'  is a beautiful piano ballad sung by Angelique Te Rauna about finding self-confidence and following dreams.

It's a finalist for this year's prestigious Maioha Award, which honours the best of contemporary Māori songwriting at the APRA Silver Scrolls.

For 'Ka Ao', Angelique (Te Aitanga a Mahaki, Rongowhakaata, Ngāti Porou and Tūhoe) teamed up with her uncle Matauranga Te Rauna and Tyna Keelan (Ngati Porou, Ngati Rongomaiwahine, and Ngati Kahu). Keelan won the 2011 Maioha Award for his song ‘Ko Koe’.
