13:15 2000s electropop group Minuit announce New Zealand reunion tour

Electropop group Minuit – French for ‘midnight’ – are set to play a number of reunion shows this winter, including dates in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. The three-piece, who burst onto the Aotearoa music scene in the early 2000s, is perhaps best known for their breakthrough album The 88 (2003).

Frontwoman Ruth Carr joined Maggie Tweedie on Music 101 to chat about Minuit’s success in Aotearoa.

14:15 Berlin-based metal duo Earth Tongue to complete NZ tour

Earth Tongue are Pōneke-based metal duo Gussie Larkin and Ezra Simons. Their long-awaited sophomore album Great Haunting (In the Red Records), came out in 2024. The duo, now based in Berlin, caught up with Maggie Tweedie about their upcoming Aotearoa tour.

14:30 Live: Auckland Indie Rockers Voom play their first new album in decades- Something Good Is Happening

Tāmaki Makaurau indie-rock outfit Voom are back after 19 years with their new album, Something Good is Happening. The foursome joined Maggie Tweedie live in the RNZ studios where they revealed what they’ve been up to in their busy lives, what to expect from the album and the extent of their demo-hoarding tendencies.

15:15 Ant Healey on the power of MusicHelps Charity to heal New Zealand musicians

Anthony Healey is the Chair and Director of NZ Operations at APRA/AMCOS- Australasia's leading music rights management organisation representing songwriters, composers and publishers. He is also on the board of MusicHelps is a charity that provides mental health support for musicians as well as music, education and rehab programs, and even palliative care. Ant Healey joined Maggie Tweedie on Music 101 to discuss the 100 thousand people who have benefitted from the charity's support and to mark the 25th anniversary of New Zealand Music Month.

Based in Ōtautahi, Chris works producing music out of The Piano: Centre for Music and the Arts, and has worked broadly across the country performing as a session bassist and singer with The Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, Holly Arrowsmith, Emily Browning, Jack Page, and many more. He’s also a musician in his own right, releasing two solo EPs as Chris William, and is currently working as a freelance producer, collaborating with a number of artists around the country like Byllie Jean, Deva Mahal and Kommi.
