Weather forecasters from Europe and the US, to Australia and New Zealand, are reporting a spike in threats and abuse from conspiracy theorists convinced they and sometimes governments are controlling the weather.
The New Zealand forecaster Weather Watch has been dealing with a big increase in attacks like this.
It's chief executive Philip Duncan spoke with Craig McCulloch.
