Homes have been damaged and some regions are flooded after Tropical Cyclone Judy barreled over Vanuatu yesterday.
The storm was upgraded to a category four cyclone, with winds of up to 230 kilometres per hour.
Dan McGarry is a journalist in Port Vila, and says the ferocity of the storm made it unsafe to go outside.
