Red Weather warnings are in place for Northland, North Auckland and Coromandel with more heavy rain predicted today.
People are being told to stay up to date with the forecasts from MetService and follow the advice of civil defence and emergency services.
Strong winds, torrential rain and severe thunderstorms are forecast to wallop parts of Northland first before the weather moves south affecting Auckland at around 4pm.
The National Emergency Management Agency warns this may cause further flooding, slips and damage.
