There's no snow to wake up to today but it'll still be a frosty start across much of the country.
Thursday's icy movement left a thin coating to sea level in Dunedin and the higher parts of Christchurch, and even a dusting in Wellington.
Temperatures are set to return to regular spring levels over the weekend.
