Milford road closure causes trouble for school holidays

The wild weather over the South Island has forced the closure of a popular tourist route, in the midst of the winter school holidays. The transport agency has closed parts of State Highway 94 between Te Anau and Milford because of the risk of avalanches. Meanwhile MetService has issued orange warnings for heavy rain and severe gales for most of the South Island. Tourism operator Southern Discoveries chief executive Tim Hunter spoke to Corin Dann.
