Another storm system is about to hit Kāpiti Coast after more wild weather overnight following yesterday's tornado.
Several homes were in its path, tearing down fences, ripping off parts of roofs and damaged cars.
MetService had forecast severe thunderstorms in the region and in other parts of the North Island through the night and this morning.
