Napier residents share how flood affected them

From Morning Report, 7:09 am on 11 November 2020

Napier is waking up to a second day in a state of emergency as it comes to terms with one of its worst floods.

Hundreds of properties have been damaged, at least 19 homes are uninhabitable and about 30 people have been forced to shelter at an evacuation centre.

Residents in some low lying suburbs remain trapped in their houses and several cars are stranded in the middle of roads that are still lakes.

Harry Lock has been speaking to some of those hit hard by the devastation.
