New NZ road safety plan ignores bad drivers - Greg Murphy

The government's being told driver training must be at the forefront of any new road safety strategy.

The Ministry of Transport will propose adopting the Vision Zero approach to road safety, which accepts crashes happen and seeks to minimise the damage.

Four time Bathurst winner Greg Murphy says that philosophy is a terrible idea that ignores the problem of bad driving.
