A man had to flee from a tornado at Coopers Beach in Northland on Wednesday.
The tornado caused widespread damage to houses in the town and left a trail of debris as roofs were ripped off, conservatories were destroyed and windows were smashed in.
The brunt of the damage hit Torsby Road where Dave Currie was working inspecting a house. He describes the chaos to Corin Dann.
