Auckland storm: About 17,000 homes still without power

From Morning Report, 6:35 am on 13 April 2018

Strong winds buffeted the Auckland region again, but it wasn't as wild as Tuesday night's storm, which caused hundreds of power outages. The Fire Service says it got a steady stream of calls about trees and power lines coming down. Vector crews are still working to fix more than 600 network problems caused by the earlier storm. The number of properties without power in Auckland now stands at about 17,000, but supply has been restored to 90 percent of those who lost it 48 hours ago. RNZ reporter Sophia Duckor-Jones is in our Auckland studio with the latest details.
