Fishing industry must adapt to warming ocean - NIWA

A leading marine scientist says New Zealand's commercial fishing industry might have to adapt, or risk decline as ocean temperatures warm. Professor Cliff Law of the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research has published a paper showing that by the end of the century an area of ocean which currently provides 60 percent of the country's commercial fish catch - could be in trouble. Some in the industry say they're already noticing changes.
