Emergency services monitoring the stop banks in Edgecumbe and surrounding areas overnight say they're holding up well. Overnight shift controller at the Emergency Operations Centre in Whakatane, Barbara Dempsey, says they'll be assessing the situation in Edgecumbe at first light.
