4.15pm - David Bowie: Serious Moonlight over Western Springs
David Bowie’s Serious Moonlight concert at Western Springs on 26 November 1983, still stands as one of Aotearoa’s largest music events.

After the global success of his latest album “Let’s Dance”, over 80,000 people crammed into the reconstituted speedway to see the transformational artist at the height of his powers.

Otago University’s David Bowie scholar, Dr Ian Chapman and producer Sam Coley look back on this historic event, which took place at very height of Bowie’s international fame in 1983.
