We speak to pioneering UK Soul DJ, broadcaster and founder of the legendary Good Times Soundsystem ahead of his return to Aotearoa.

2.05pm - Loft Classics with Frank Booker

In the next installment of our deep dives into the world of music genres local boogie legend Frank Booker joins Mark & Kara in the studio for look at the diverse and wonderful sounds that make up Loft Music - whose origins can be found in David Mancuso's New York loft parties of the 70s & 80s.

On the 77th Birthday of David Bowie we revisit the day Ziggy Stardust was officially welcomed onto the Takapuwahia Marae in Porirua shortly before his first concert in Wellington as part of his 1983 'Serious Moonlight”.

Made to mark the 25th anniversary of the occasion, producer Sam Coley talks to members of the Ngati Toa tribe who were present that day, while professionals involved in the tour reflected on the event that Bowie himself called…  “One of the most hospitable experiences of my life”…
