10:20 How aligned is New Zealand with the Five Eyes alliance?
 
New Zealand's Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta says the only suggestion New Zealand could be expelled from the Five Eyes intelligence grouping is from the media. Minister Mahuta says New Zealand values its Five Eyes membership, but can decide to take its own course when making declarations about other countries. Karyn asks Professor Alexander Gillespie from Waikato University for his analysis of New Zealand and the Five Eyes alliance.

10:45 The Rest Is History: Remembering Blair Peach

This week 42 years ago, New Zealand teacher, and member of the Anti-Nazi League, Blair Peach died after a clash between police and protesters at an anti-fascism rally in Southall, London, 1979.  He was 33, and suffered fatal head injuries.   London's Metropolitan Police Service finally released its report on Blair's death in 2010, and found that it couldn't determine who delivered the blow that killed him. Writer and barrister, David Renton writes for the left wing publication, Red Pepper.
