10:20 Some Covid positive Victorians still flouting lockdown rules

Victoria has recorded 450 new coronavirus cases today - bringing the total to 13,867. There were 11 further deaths since yesterday, bringing the total deaths to 181.

Meanwhile Queensland is shutting its borders to New South Wales and the ACT at 1am local time

There are stage-four restrictions in place in Melbourne and a curfew as well, and stage-three restrictions for the rest of the state. All schools are closed and anyone travelling for work needs a permit

The Victorian premiere, Daniel Andrews says 150 people who are meant to be self isolating were not home yesterday when defence force staff knocked on their doors, which is a big concern.

Police officers and soldiers patrol a popular running track in Melbourne on August 4, 2020 after the state announced new restrictions as the city battles fresh outbreaks of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
