There are growing concerns about the health and welfare of pedigree dogs.
Although purebreds are often seen as the best of the pack, in reality they can be prone to a host of genetic disorders, turning a cute puppy in to an adult medical disaster.
Vets say much of the distress could be avoided, so is enough being done ?
To what extent are so-called Designer dogs the answer?
