Firefighters are battling three separate bushfires across the central North Island. In Napier, emergency services are fighting a large fire on Tangoio Settlement Road that has spread through at least 11 hectares of steep forestry land. Strong winds are hampering firefighters' efforts to contain the blaze and thick clouds of smoke can be seen billowing from the site. Fire and Emergency's Trevor Mitchell talks to Kim Savage.
