West Auckland school welcomes donation-replacement scheme
It's back to school for many families this week - and that usually means back to school fees and all those extra costs. The charity KidsCan says they're seeing demand for school support at its highest in six years. But some schools around the country have opted in to a scheme introduced by the Chris Hipkins government that takes a lot of those costs off parents by removing the need for a voluntary school donation. Glen Eden Intermediate School is one of the schools that has opted in. And Acting Principal Jacob Prisk spoke with Nathan Rarere.
