Coromandel's Christmas present: SH25A open by 20 December

We all know the phrase "underpromise, overdeliver" - well Waka Kotahi has done just that, delivering an early Christmas present for the Coromandel. It's announced state highway 25A will be open by the 20th of December, three months months ahead of schedule. A fragile part of the highway was washed away after severe weather in January, leading to the construction of a brand new 124 metre bridge. Reporter Leonard Powell phoned some Coromandel locals to break the news.
