Water challenges on hospitality businesses in Queenstown

The Queenstown city council has been served with a compliance order for its Two Mile water treatment plant, which doesn't have the necessary barrier to stop the parasite cryptosporidium. The mayor says getting that filter installed could take months, and in the mean time, a boil water notice must stay. SODA is a busy new restaurant in central Queenstown. Manager Penelope Johnson told us it's a major challenge for all businesses there now to keep their customers healthy and happy. And she's even heard of other restaurants rostering staff to focus on boiling water.
