High jumper Hamish Kerr confident for World champs

Canterbury high jumper Hamish Kerr has put the disappointment of last year's World Championships behind him as he prepares to lineup for the 2023 event in Hungary this weekend. After winning a world indoor bronze medal in 2022, he went into the outdoor event full of confidence, but failed to make the final. This year he's set a new national record and won at a Diamond League meeting. Kerr told sports reporter Barry Guy that he feels he deserves to be mentioned among the title contenders.
