NZ superfan first schoolgirl to play football in 1975

Barbie isn't the only thing kicking off today. The FIFA Women’s World Cup gets underway here in Auckland this evening. The Football Ferns taking on Norway at Eden Park from 7pm, and one New Zealand superfan who will be in attendance is Jills Angus Burney. Jills was the first schoolgirl in Manawatu to play Football back in 1975, when females still weren't allowed to play. From there its been a fun journey, from professional sheep shearer to lawyer, but she's going back to her roots and attending five World Cup games. Jills shared her beautiful backstory with us.
