Modern day slavery could be part of many of the purchases we make. Estimates say there's about 40 to 50 million people in slavery or worker exploitation around the world today. Last year, our government announced plans for a law that would require New Zealand organisations take action if they become aware of slavery or exploitation in their supply chains. But it's been more than a year, and advocates are still waiting for that legislation. Trade Aid boss Geoff White was part of the government's Modern Slavery Advisory Group. He talks to Nathan Rarere.
