Prime Minister Chris Hipkins has ruled out a wealth or capital gains tax if Labour wins a third term in October. He said they were looking to introduce both in this year's Budget but he killed the idea. Budget documents reveal Labour started work last year on a 'tax switch' - which would've included a tax-free threshold and a wealth tax.
