The Gun on 7 Manly NRL players refusing to wear Pride strip
Seven Manly Sea Eagles players stood down this week after the club announced players would wear a rainbow strip this week to promote LGBTIA+ inclusion. The players cite religious reasons for refusing to wear the rainbow strip on their jersey, and say they weren't consulted. There has been a heated backlash both from within outside the NRL, with coach Des Hasler apologising for what happened. Nathan Rarere discussed this with former Wallaby, author, and expert on pretty much everything Peter Fitzsimons.
