More pedestrian only space opens in Auckland's Federal St

Auckland city just got a bit friendlier to pedestrians with the Mayoral Drive end of Federal St now a tree-lined shared space that it's hoped will eventually form part of a green corridor in the CBD. The covid pandemic has lead to a lack of office workers and therefore foot traffic, so will these initiatives help revitalise what's been described as a "ghost CBD"?
