How RNZ is covering Matatriki in multi-media special
Tomorrow is the first time Matariki will be celebrated as a public holiday in Aotearoa. Producer Leonard Powell hit the streets of Tamaki Makaurau to find out what people are doing to celebrate. He came across staff and students from Te Atatu Intermediate by the fountain at Albert Park, as they spent the day in the city on a school trip. Leonard asked the teachers and kids about their Matariki this year. We are joined now by Mani Dunlop who will be one of the presenters of a big multi-media Matariki special which kicks off at 6am tomorrow.
