Fitzsimons: Shane Warne was mesmerising

The cricketing world and the nation of Australia are in mourning after the death of Shane Warne, who is believed to have suffered a heart attack while on holiday in Thailand at the age of just 52. According to his family, the legendary spin bowler was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of friends and medical staff, he could not be revived. Tributes have flowed far and wide with everyone from Sachin Tendulkar to Mick Jagger paying tribute to the charismatic cricketer and commentator. Also among them has been former Wallaby, author, journalist and friend of the programme, Peter Fitzsimons. He told our producer Matthew Theunissen, how he came to know the man known to the world simply as "Warnie".
